I really feel like there’s nothing that can make your heart feel like its doubled in size as hanging out with old friends. It’s such a rush of happiness and sweet nostalgia. Sherri and I met our freshman year in High School and immediately became friends. I can’t tell you how many hours we spent talking as we wandered in circles around and around the school courtyard during PE. That was our choice of exercise. Not handball, not basketball, walking. In circles. Over and over again. :p Good times!
It’s so strange to me how far we’ve all come, mostly because it’s hard to grasp how much time has gone by! High School really doesn’t seem that long ago. But here we are all grown up. Sherri is the first one within my immediate group of friends in High School to be getting married! Ahhh! It’s exciting and I’m sooo happy for her!
Sherri & Patrick are big fans of San Francisco, so they came up from Irvine for the weekend so that we could do a shoot here. I wanted to showcase a lot of the funky vibrancy of San Francisco as well as all the natural beauty that’s so unique to SF. We started off with some super interesting backdrops. Vertical gardens, hanging chairs, and flora climbing out of an old school car, can it get any better?
We headed up to the Marin Headlands to get some shots overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and lemme tell ya, it took a LOT of effort to get here but it was so worth it in the end!
I’m such a huge fan of doorways and frames. The contrast between my sexy couple and this old broken down shell of a building is so great.
Can you say, DRAMATIC? I’m so glad we braved the crazy winds because we ended up getting killer shots like this one. So many favorites from the shoot, but this one just might be #1.![]()
It’s so great getting to photograph dear friends. And an added bonus when those friends are naturals and just light up in front of the camera. More of Sherri & Patrick’s engagement shoot to come! Next up, Golden Gate Park.
