Los Altos History Museum Wedding // Marta & Ryan

This wedding was everything a wedding should be. Two people crazy about each other, personal details, a great party, and 100% true to the bride & groom’s personalities. I mean, flip up as a grand entrance? Amazing.

I LOVED Marta’s whole personal style and the fact that she chose a fun flirty short dress that suited her perfectly. And burgers for dinner! That’s my kind of people. Thanks to Scott Stater for having me along to second shoot.

Cinemagraph

This is something I’ve wanted to try for awhile now, months actually. Ever since I first saw them on the tumblr blog From Me to You. I shot this while second shooting for the talented Abi Q who let me play around with video in order to create the cinemagraph. I’m so happy with how the effect turned out. Excited to try doing one of these for all my weddings.

Healdsburg Country Garden Wedding // JR & Lauren

Beautiful couple, beautiful wedding, at the beautiful Healdsburg Country Gardens.

This wedding was so special to me. It took place several months ago, and since then I’ve held the wedding close. Tucking it away in a corner of my heart and reflecting on it often. I am so thankful to Kate Harrison for allowing me to come and be her second shooter for the day, because it was truly a privilege to witness this wedding.

JR & Lauren blew me away with their stunning intelligence, their eloquence, their unabashed dedication and affection toward each other and to their family. They are just truly excellent human beings. There was so much honesty and authenticity to their wedding day, and I’m not overstating things when I say that their wedding made me want to be a better person. It’s funny the way lives can cross paths. How lucky am I to have been able to very briefly meet such extraordinary people on such an extraordinary day.

Megan - A friend’s wedding in 2009 featured tables that were themed after specific books that were special to the bride and groom. I was at the Bear v. Shark table. Such a great idea, and this wedding is astoundingly beautiful. Great work as always!

It’s my new year’s resolution to blog more – WAY more – so I’m starting the new year with one of my favorite weddings from last year. Andrew & Christine got married at one of the most charming venues on the Bay Area, Nestldown in Los Gatos. It was a gorgeous day, and there was so much calmness, laughter, and joy at this wedding. Not even a groomsman ripping his pants and having to duct tape them together could phase the happy couple. And I LOVED Christine’s style. A perfect balance between casual and chic.
