EspaƱa!

May 21, 2009

If someone were to come by today and say, “What’s up?” I’d be able to say back, “Oh, you know, jetting off to Spain. The usual.”

And it’d totally be true, cause I totally am! Well, not the “usual” part. It’ll be the first of (hopefully) many trips to Europe and I’m very excited. Not just cause going to Europe as a tourist is in itself, a great thing. But because what could be better than going to Europe as a photographer? Traveling, photographing, eating fabulous local cuisine. It’s like combining my three greatest loves in life!

I’m bracing myself for an amazing and beautiful experience.

And because a entry on a photoblog is nothing without a photo:

Traveling destination wedding photographer

FYI: I’m probably going to be disconnected from phone/internet access for the next week, although I’m still trying to figure out the internet situation. But to be honest, being disconnected might be a bit liberating. Also, if any of my lovely blog readers are planning a destination wedding, I’d love to be your photographer! The traveling bug has bitten me, and I’m more than happy to go on the ride.

If I were a dude, I would definitely try to hook up with Miss Debbie Hsieh. No joke.

I can’t remember when exactly we became friends but whenever or however it happened, I am so amazingly thankful to have someone as intelligent, witty, beautiful, and deliciously sarcastic to call my friend. Debbie and I are both unapologetic gossip whores, so give us a plate of brownies a la mode and we’re good to go for hours of gossipy chatter. She’s also one of the best and most naturally gifted writers that I know. Her Blog. Check it out.

And best of all, she is in the truest sense of the word, FIERCE.

And Debbie totally got hit on by a Utah boy and his friends, who asked us if we were still in high school and then proudly exclaimed that he had graduated high school in… 2008! It was really cute.

Cinco De Mayo

May 5, 2009

Happy 5th of May everyone! I didn’t get a chance to stuff myself with Mexican food and/or Tequila (although I kinda wish I did…) but I did spend some time wandering around Olvera Street in Los Angeles. It’s not hard to get a good photograph around these parts when you’re completely surrounded by so much vibrancy, and color and life.

So here’s a few photographs from today, dedicated to my Mexican homeboys and chicas. Congrats on beating the French all those long years ago.

And look at that, Jesus likes to celebrate Cinco De Mayo too. ;)

My photo of the day for May 5th 2009:
